More than 4,000 runners, including local hope Boonchu Chandecha, are expected to turn up at the Bt2-million Pattaya Marathon at 4.30am tomorrow.

The Athletic Association of Thailand (AAT) has decided to field the national squad to test its strength before the SEA Games next year. The 12th edition features a full 42.5km marathon, a half marathon and a quarter marathon. The start is from Pattaya Beach Road Soi 6. Competitors who beat the meet record will get Bt50,000 and those who break the national record Bt100,000.
