Asia Pacific to mull takeover

Shareholders of Asia Pacific Resources Ltd will hold a special meeting to consider a takeover bid by SRMT Holdings Ltd, a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of Italian-Thai Development Plc, on August 11 at its head office in Canada.
The special meeting will consider approving the amalgamation of Asia Pacific, Metro Resources Co Ltd, a wholly-owned direct subsidiary of Asia Pacific, and 623827 NB Ltd, a wholly-owned direct subsidiary of SRMT. SRMT currently holds 86.14 per cent of the outstanding common shares of Asia Pacific. - The Nation.
