Goals include overseas sales of 70 per cent

CyberPlanet has set international goals for the next four years, hoping to export up to 70 per cent of its products.
Chanin Vanijwongse, chief marketing officer of CyberPlanet Interactive, said the firm hopes to enter the global market and thereby encourage the local software industry. To reach its target, the firm will cooperate with partners on product development, design and concepts, business models and customised products that more closely meet market needs. A game software industry is emerging in the domestic market and Thai game software developers have the potential to develop more games, multimedia and animation for the global market. The firm is negotiating with partners to create brands for export, said Chanin. He said the firm this year expects to export around 20 to 30 per cent of its products, and in the next four years it would be able to export 70 to 80 per cent, as software represents a rapid-growth market. The company is now selling game and entertainment software to Europe and Asia. Its products include Space Fortress, Ultraman Little Adventure, Stock Board and Crabby Adventure. The company is financed by the SMEs Venture Capital Fund run by One Asset Management. Chanin said the company also planned to establish representative sales offices in Europe and the US next year and will register on the Market for Alternative Investment (MAI) within the next couple of years.
