Subway boss to stay

Prapat Chongsanguan appears set to stay on as governor of the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, which owns the Bangkok subway.
"Out of three candidates, Prapat received 88 points, due mainly to his decisiveness, efficiency and responsibility," Deputy Transport Permanent Secretary Therdsak Setthamanop said yesterday.Prapat will be nominated by the search committee, which Therdsak chairs, to the MRTA board next week. The other candidates were Praphat's deputy Yiamchai Chatkaew and Theerawat Disabhirom, a director of Triumph Tradenet (Fareast) Ltd.
