One dead, seven wounded as southern violence continues

Narathiwat - Suspected militants have shot dead one person and injured seven others in three separate drive-by shootings in Narathiwat, police said on Thursday.

Two suspected militants on a motorcycle opened fired on a karaoke bar on late Wednesday, killing an 18-year-old boy and injuring five others in this southern border province.

Separately, suspected militants on a motorbike shot and wounded a 58-year-old man in the same province early Thursday.

In a separate attack, A 17-year-old boy was also shot and injured in another drive-by shooting in the province Thursday, police said.
