Jobs shared out

Caretaker Premier Thaksin Shinawatra yesterday passed on the tasks formerly handled by Wissanu Krea-ngam to other Cabinet members.
Wissanu's resignation from the post of deputy prime minister took effect last Friday. Thaksin said yesterday duties delegated to Wissanu would now be supervised by caretaker Deputy PM Suwat Liptapanlop, except energy affairs, which would be overseen by caretaker Deputy PM Suriya Jungrungreangkit. Caretaker PM's Office Minister Newin Chidchob was put in charge of matters within the mandate of a minister - including the Council of State. Asked who would be the legal expert for his Cabinet in place of Wissanu, Thaksin said: "We don't need that. There are many legal experts in the government sector already. They work at the Secretariat of the Cabinet and the Council of State". The Nation
