Star Sanitaryware Plc expects sales growth of 10 per cent this year due to expanding exports especially to Europe and Japan.

Somchai Wongaroon, its president, said demand in the domestic market grew only 2 per cent this year, following a slowdown in property market. As a result, the company had to expand its export markets.

The company recorded sales of Bt266 million and a net profit of Bt34.9 million at the end of 2005. Sales were Bt48.68 million and net profit Bt1.08 million in the first quarter of the year. - The Nation.
