- The Cabinet has approved an investment budget for public enterprises totalling Bt346.50 billion for fiscal 2006-07, marking a more than 30-per-cent rise on-year, government spokesman Surapong Suebwonglee said yesterday.
- The Small Business Credit Guarantee Corporation (SBCG) said yesterday it would provide financial support to disabled people and those affected by flash floods in the northern provinces. The SBCG will reduce the guarantee fee for banks that provide new loans to small and medium-size businesses hit by the flash floods.
- Thailand's public debt at the end of April totalled Bt3.208 trillion, or 41.4 per cent of the country's gross domestic product, down marginally from the previous month, the Ministry of Finance's Public Debt Manage-ment Office reported yesterday.
