Jubilee books and posters on the way

The government will produce posters, picture books and DVDs of the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of His Majesty the King's accession to the throne to be distributed to schools and government offices and sold to the public.

PM's Office Minister Suranand Vejjajiva is handling the project.

Today, he will report to the Cabinet on the progress that has been made in producing the posters, picture books and DVDs to mark the Diamond Jubilee.

There are to be 600,000 A2-sized posters released, in three versions: an image of His Majesty the King's public audience on the balcony of the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall; a portrait of Their Majesties the King and Queen; and a group picture of Their Majesties and visiting royals from 26 countries.

These will be distributed to schools, government offices and some will be sold to public.

A total of 200,000 pocket books containing His Majesty the King's speeches given away for free.

Additionally, 100,000 picture books containing photos of the King and images of the royal ceremonies and 30,000 books containing historic photos taken during this month's ceremonies and a seven-hour DVD of the celebrations and another 60-minute DVD will be sold to the public.
