Gunmen on motorcycles injure three

Three men have been injured in separate drive-by shootings in the ongoing violence in the deep South.
In the Sungai Kolok district of Narathiwat, villager Doloh Samalo, 45, was shot while having tea with his friends at a teashop yesterday. Two men riding a motorcycle stopped, and one approached Doloh and opened fire with a 9mm pistol before speeding away. The bullet went into his right arm. Two gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire twice at Noppadol Kaewmanee, 47, who was riding his motorcycle home in the Yarang district of Pattani yesterday. Noppadol, who works at Yarang's agricultural office, was not hit but was slightly injured as he fell off his motorcycle. Late on Tuesday night, in Yala's Muang district, Adabee Matache-asae, 20, was shot while standing in front of a mosque. An unknown number of attackers drove by and opened fire with a 9mm pistol. Adabee was hit in his chest and right leg. Police believe Muslim insurgents were behind the attacks but have not ruled out personal conflicts.
