Singer joins city contest Famous singer Billy Ogan yesterday registered to contest the Bangkok Council election in Phra Khanong district.
It is one of 50 districts where an election will be held on July 23 to fill 57 seats. The five-day registration period ended yesterday with a total of 154 candidates.
Billy is standing as an independent candidate while most other candidates are from the Thai Rak Thai and Democrat parties. The upcoming District Council election for 36 districts has 655 registered candidate.
