Thainox in new joint venture

Thainox Stainless Plc's board yesterday approved the formation of a joint venture with Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless Steel Corp and Siam Lotus Co Ltd to produce cold-rolled stainless steel.
In its filing to the Stock Exchange of Thailand, Thainox said the joint venture would be named Ns-Thainox Auto Co Ltd, and the stakes of the three parties would be: Thainox and Nippon Steel, 49 per cent each, and Siam Lotus, 2 per cent
Executive fined Power Line Engineering Plc vice chairman and major shareholder Amnuay Karnjanopas has been fined Bt13.45 million for the use of inside information. The Securities and Exchange Commission said yesterday that in February, Amnuay - who then owned 8.98 per cent of the company - had sold shares in the knowledge that Power Line suffered from liquidity problems. In the month, he sold 23.56 million shares for Bt364.47 million.
Broadband deal Triple T Broadband, a subsidiary of TT&T Plc, signed a deal on Wednesday to purchase a broadband system from Jasmine Telecom Systems Plc (JTS), a subsidiary of Jasmine International Plc, which is TT&T's major shareholder. According to a filing to the Stock Exchange of Thailand yesterday, JTS will procure the equipment, install the system, and provide maintenance. The system is for TT&T Broadband's broadband Internet service, voice over broadband and TV and video on demand.
Bt999 for flights Six Thai airlines have jointly agreed to fix fares at Bt999 for inaugural commercial flights from Don Muang Airport to Suvarnabhumi International Airport on July 29. THAI and Nok Air, Thai AirAsia, Orient Thai, PB Air and Bangkok Airways have agreed to join the launch of commercial flights for Suvarnabhumi Airport with special flights on July 29.
