Election: Klanarong among latest group of new senators

The Election Commission endorsed Klanarong Chantik, former secretary-general of the National Counter Corruption Commission, and 22 other poll winners as senators, EC secretary-general Ekachai Warunprapa said yesterday.
That brings the total to 163. The remaining 37 will be endorsed soon or new balloting will be called if any are found to have committed election fraud. Wage Dispute: Salaries set for education officials The Supreme Administrative Court yesterday ruled former education minister Adisai Bodharamik and the Teacher Civil Service Commission could lawfully regulate the salaries in education area offices. A group of administrators working in education area offices had petitioned the court to void the regulation passed by the Teacher Civil Service Commission to control their salaries. "The company's management has not decided what to do with these 25 cars but it's true many people want to buy them," said DaimlerChrysler Thailand's spokesman Chatvithai Tantraporn.
