Fuel surcharge for Hua Hin air shuttle

The operator of an air-shuttle service between Bangkok and Hua Hin, Siam General Aviation Co (SGA), has announced it will collect a fuel surcharge of Bt200 per passenger from July 15, because of escalating fuel costs.
The shuttle service offers travellers a 40-minute flight to or from Hua Hin, saving more than two hours on the time it takes by road. The present adult fare is Bt3,100 one way and Bt5,200 for a round trip. The company began operating three daily flights between Bangkok and Hua Hin in November 2004, catering for the steady increase in travellers to the luxury resorts, spas and prime properties in the area. The route is serviced by a Cessna 208B Caravan aircraft, with room for 12 passengers. The flights offer aerial views of Bangkok, Samut Prakan, the Gulf of Thailand, the Chao Phya River and Phetchaburi province before touching down in Hua Hin. There is no in-flight service, but SGA has lounges at Bangkok and Hua Hin airports. SGA's operation is designed to grow with demand. However, initial flight times have been established to coincide with international arrivals and departures to and from Europe. As well as operating the Bangkok-Hua Hin air shuttle, SGA offers business and logistics charter services as well as leisure charter flights for sightseeing and sports. In May 2003, SGA was made the Cessna authorised service station for Thailand and Southeast Asia.
