CMG eyes new markets

The Central Marketing Group (CMG), a seller and manufacturer of fashion apparel and lifestyle products, will open retail outlets for its products this year in India and the Middle East.

The company expects its exports to reach Bt100 million this year, up from Bt30 million last year.

The company will focus on exporting its own flagship apparel brands: S'Fare, Casualist and Evoluzione, according to Pichai Chirathivat, chief executive.

"We've already opened three shops for our apparel brands in Dubai, and three more outlets will open this year," said Pichai. An outlet will also appear in Bahrain this year.

He said India and the Middle East were potential markets for CMG exports. The group will link up with local distributors in each market and support them in terms of IT systems, human resources, team development and visual merchandising.

He said CMG grew 6 per cent last year, recording operating revenues of Bt5.2 billion.
