Euro Feed wins huge tapioca bid

Exporter Euro Feed has won a bid for a massive tapioca lot after offering the highest price for the crop - between US$110 (Bt4,220) and $114 per tonne.

The final price on the 389,438-tonne lot of tapioca chip was reached following two weeks of bargaining with the Commerce Ministry. Euro Feed's offer was higher than the market price of between $101 to $103. Other companies offered bids ranging from $102.50 to $111 per tonne.

DTAC: New numbers

The board of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) yesterday approved the allocation of an additional 500,000 mobile phone numbers to Total Access Communication (DTAC).

Cellular operator DTAC had asked for two million phone numbers.
