Anti-Thaksin talks in six cities in US

The anti-Thaksin alliance expands to the United States this week with a seminar criticising Thaksinomics to be held in six cities.

Wuthipong Priabchariyawat, director of the Sahasavas Institute, said Thais in the US had invited him to speak about the anti-Thaksin movement in Washington, New York, Chicago, Houston, San Francisco and Los Angeles from tomorrow through to June 27.

Among the topics he will discuss at the seminars are the People's Alliance for Democracy's fight to end Thaksinomics and the group's future plans, as well as an analysis of the country's political situation. The seminar will be recorded and broadcast by the Asian Satellite TV station, he said.

Other speakers at the seminars include caretaker Senator Karun Sai-ngam, singer Thearapong Ploypet and writer Wasant Sithiket. - The Nation
