School visit

Britain's Prince Andrew yesterday visited Bangkok Patana International School and laid the foundation stone for its new gymnasium.

It was the first visit by a member of the British royal family to the school, which has offered a British-style education to students in Bangkok for 50 years.

Prince Andrew met 12 students of the school who are recipients of the Duke of Edinburgh International Award, and observed a few classes.
