Photos by HIV kids to be sold to raise funds

The Give2Asia project, initiated by a group of Americans who came to Chiang Mai to visit organisations that work with HIV/Aids affected children and individuals without access to prevention knowledge, is encouraging people to support HIV-affected children by purchasing their photographs.

Realising the importance and the latent potential of HIV-affected youth, the project has organised a workshop called "Take Photographs to Tell Your Stories".

The project aims to give children and youth a chance to communicate their feelings and reflect their point of view through photographic expression, based on the idea that "a photograph speaks a thousand words". The workshop is co-organised by the Aids Network Development Foundation (AIDSNet) and the Thai-Worldview Foundation to provide opportunities for youth to relay their stories, especially stories pertaining to HIV/Aids.

Anyone interested in supporting the project can order photos taken by children and youths. Postcard size photos start at Bt25 each.
