HM the King's speech at Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall

His Majesty the King's speech at the public audience granted to well wishers at Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall on June 9. (Unofficial translation)
I am pleased to preside over the public audience for Thai citizens and all institutions. Thank you for well-wishing messages and grand celebrations organised for me especially. The government has made fine preparations and Thai citizens have shown their goodwill throughout the nation. I am gratified by today's gathering because everyone came to express sincerity. I am thankful for wellwishers and their act of unison. I feel heartened by unity and would like to remind about some underlying principles to guide Thai citizens to unite in protecting and developing their country to new heights of prosperity. First, everyone should embrace kindness and compassion toward mind and physical wellbeing for one another. Second, each one strives to cooperate with one another for mutual benefits for one self, the others and the country. Third, everyone should uphold honesty and observe rules and traditions with impartiality. Fourth, each one should adhere to righteous thoughts and act within reasons. If Thai citizens think and act in an agreeable and constructive manner, then the country will certainly thrive. Everyone in the public audience and all Thai citizens should strictly implement these principles and propagate them for perpetuity so as to enable the country to remain in peace and happiness for the present as well as the future. May the goodness of Buddhist Triple Gem and universal sacredness bless the country to overcome dangers allowing Thai citizens to live with happiness and prosperity. The Nation
