The Federation of Thai Industries said yesterday that the project to establish a Thailand-China Business Council with 11 southern provinces of China would be completed this year.
FTI chairman Santi Vilassakdanond said yesterday that his organisation would meet with the Board of Investment Office to draw up plans to encourage more cooperation with the private sector in those targeted provinces.
He said tourism has the greatest potential to be promoted between the two countries. However, the government should develop infrastructure to facilitate tourist transportation as well as exports.
