Accor starts new brand for budget travellers

Aside from three new hotels in Thailand, the Accor Group is introducing a new brand - All Seasons - to attract economy travellers.
The first All Seasons property is in Pattaya, where the management contract will begin in November, said Accor Asia-Pacific managing director Michael Issenberg. The All Seasons Pattaya, with 260 rooms, will be the third property of the group in the resort city. It is located in the centre of Pattaya between Beach Road and Second Road. The hotel is the first All Seasons in Thailand and the second in Asia after Bali. All Seasons is a three-star hotel brand already famous in Australia and it services tourists in particular, Issenberg said. Meanwhile, the group has won contracts to manage three new hotels in Thailand - in Pattaya, Bangkok and Chumphon. Issenberg said the group would open the Novotel Chumphon Beach Resort and Spa in December with 80 rooms, doubling to 160 next year. He said the group would also introduce the first Grand Mercure Suite hotel in Thailand. The Mercure Suite, featuring 165 rooms and scheduled to open in 2007, is located on Phayathai Road in Bangkok.
