Various former MPs want to join Chat Thai : Somsak

Many former MPs are interested in switching to the Chat Thai Party, possibly attracted to its accommodating nature, a deputy party leader said on Thursday.
"Our party has never viewed others as enemies. We can work with any political party," Somsak Prisananantakul said at the Chat Thai headquarters. He said, "a considerable numŽber" of members from other parŽties have been in contact with senŽior Chat Thai figures, including party leader Banharn Silapaarcha, about defecting to the opposition party. He expects more politicians to jump to Chat Thai next week and "things will be clearer". Election candidates have to belong to a party for at least 90 days before registering to contest the poll under that party's banner. As the next general election is tentatively scheduled for October 15, the last day to move to a new party is Thursday. The Nation
