Woman's body found

A woman was found dead yesterday with a bullet hole in her forehead near a motorway section in the Sai Mai district in Bangkok.

The body, estimated to be that of a woman in her early 20's, had one bullet nearly protruding from her neck, as well as heavy bruises on the neck and a black eye.

There were rope marks on both wrists. The body was wrapped in a green curtain.

She was clad in a brown T-shirt and a pair of blue shorts. She also had a surgery scar on her stomach, carried no identification, and was killed a few hours before the body was found by an officer on patrol at 4am yesterday morning.

She was around 155-160cm tall, had long hair and a fair complexion.

There were no witnesses living near where the body was found - but bare footprints of about five or six people were found around the body.

A spokesman for Khan Na Yao police station, who did not wish to be named, appealed to anyone who might have seen anything to contact the station as a matter of urgency.
