BMW offers soft terms in hard times

Owning a BMW has never be this easy, thanks to the economic slowdown.
BMW Group Thailand this week launched one of its most aggressive sales campaigns to date by cutting the down payment for a 320i model to just Bt250,000. Moreover, the instalment period has been extended to 60 months, the company announced. The campaign applies to all Series 3 models for purchases made by the end of June. "With this financial offer, customers can own their favourite 3 Series models with a down payment of only 10 per cent with a long-term instalment contract of up to 60 months. Buyers of the 320i model can, therefore, own the car with a down payment of Bt250,000," said Dr Wit Sittivaekin, corporate communications director, BMW (Thailand). The campaign is supported by BMW Financial Services (Thailand). Customers who do not opt for the low-down-payment and long-instalment programme can instead choose two-year first-class insurance with the purchase of their favourite 3 Series, Wit said. "Please also note that all new BMW models, including the 3 Series, come with a five-year comprehensive service and maintenance programme or BMW Service Inclusive," he added. "This programme allows the owners to drive their BMWs without being worried about maintenance costs." Thailand's auto market has ground to a halt with sales in the first four months of the year showing flat growth of 0.38 per cent, totalling 223,257 units. Pichaya Changsorn The Nation
