HM the King instructs the armed forces to help people afflicted from flood

HM the King has reiterated to the armed forces to help people in the northern region who were afflicted from flash flood.

The King said that he is more than ready to provide assistance to the armed forces particularly regarding fuels. "Fuels are necessary at the moment as all vehicles and aircrafts have to use fuels in their mission to help the affected people," the King said.

Chiefs of the Army, the Navy and the Air Forces were granted an audience with HM the King at Hua Hin Palace. Tape of the audience was broadcast in all TV channels at 8pm.

Many northern provinces including Uttaradit, Phrae and Lampang, have been hit by flash floods sine Tuesday. At least 50 people were killed and hundreds others were missing.

HM the King also emphasised that border patrol police would be able to help people in this situation as they have experiences in working in forests and mountainous areas like in the north.
