Tribute to HM on global TV

The BBC and CNN next week will broadcast a tribute to His Majesty the King, the world's longest reigning monarch.

Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister Surakiart Sathirathai yesterday said the programme would focus on His Majesty and his development projects. Privy Council president Prem Tinsulanond and United Nations secretary-general Kofi Annan will be featured in the seminar, which will be aired live next Friday morning. "Annan will deliver a special address on His Majesty," Surakiart said.

Annan will present the inaugural United Nations Development Programme Award for Human Development to His Majesty at 5pm on Friday.

The  presentation will be at Klai Kangvol Palace in Prachuap Khiri Khan's Hua Hin district.
