Gygar eyes govt deals

Gygar Technologies, a producer and distributor of screens and projectors, expects sales to grow by 30 per cent this year by focusing on government projects, managing director Kulaphong Baedyananda said.
Gygar recorded sales of Bt90 million last year and, with 5 per cent of total revenue dedicated to marketing and promotion, it expects sales to reach Bt117 million this year. Established in 2003 by Thai entrepreneurs, with a registered capital of Bt1 million, it has joined with a manufacturer in Taiwan to develop products according to Thai specifications, including screens, projectors and ceiling mounts. The company now has 15 products and will launch five new items this year in response to customer demand, especially that from the government. At present, 70 per cent of Gygar's total sales come from bidding to supply the government market, including schools, universities and others state agencies. The remaining 30 per cent comes from household and office orders. Gygar plans to boost registered capital from Bt1 million to Bt50 million in the next three years, to prepare for future expansion.
