Doctorate for princess

A leading university in the United Kingdom will present an honorary doctorate degree to HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on Monday.
The honorary doctorate of law from the University of Exeter is in recognition of the Princess' academic and humanitarian work. The presentation ceremony will take place at Chitralada Villa in Dusit Palace, Bangkok.The doctorate presentation also marks the 60th Anniversary of HM the King Bhumibol Adulyadej's accession to the throne and the university's 50th anniversary. The University of Exeter has been in touch with more than 55,000 of its alumni throughout the world, including JK Rowling - the author of the best-selling Harry Potter series, notifying them of the event. Other recipients of honorary degrees from the University of Exeter include Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan, Sir John Betjeman and Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul.
