Six police officers were seriously injured in Narathiwat's Rangae district yesterday when an officer ignited explosives hidden under a mobile phone.



DSI asked to investigate Democrat Party

The ruling Thai Rak Thai Party launched a counterattack on the Democrats on Saturday by filing a complaint with the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) alleging that the auctioning off of bankrupt financial institutions after the 1997 economic meltdown under a Democrat-led government had been tantamount to a national assets sellout.



Elevator kills three in 25 floor fall

An elevator being repaired in a Bangkok skyscraper dropped 25 storeys, killing three mechanics at work on its roof and injuring a fourth, police said on Saturday.
