The United Nations on behalf of its agencies the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs, and the United Nations Capital Development Fund has nominated Goanpot Asvinvichit to join the UN Advisers Group on Inclusive Financial Sectors, which was established to provide advice and guidance to the UN on finance issues.
- Bangkok Bank said that customers who reserved one of the bank's properties and signed up for a Bualuang home loan at the 14th House and Condo Fair being held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre May 4-7, will be charged below the current interest rate. The bank is also offering customers a pre-approval service, home loans of up to 90 per cent of the purchase price, and financing for up to 20 per cent of renovation costs.
- Also at the 14th House and Condo Fair, Kasikornbank will offer a special housing loan rate of 1.29 per cent for the first three months to customers of the bank's property development partners, while other customers will be eligible for a rate of 1.49 per cent over the first three months. Customers will be charged the floating rate thereafter.
