Coins to honour young prince's birthday

The Cabinet approved on Tuesday a plan to manufacture Bt50 commemorative coins to celebrate HRH Prince Teepangkorn Rasmichoti's first birthday.
The young prince turns one year old on April 29. Deputy Government Spokesman Chalermchai Mahakijsiri said the commemorative coins in honour of His Royal Highness would be a limited edition, with no more than 500,000 coins made. The young prince is the son of HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn and HRH Princess Srirasmi. Chalermchai said the Cabinet also approved a plan to manufacture Bt50 coins to commemorate the Royal Thai Navy Academy's 100th anniversary, which falls on November 20 this year. "There will be no more than 200,000 coins produced for this limited edition," he said. The Nation
