IT Retail Development Co Ltd has invested Bt200 million in setting up the Happy Land IT Plaza in Bang Kapi.
John Anthony Griffiths, managing director of IT Retail Development, said retail space was renting from Bt100 a day. "According to our survey there is demand for an IT shopping centre with computer and mobile-phone retail shops from people in the Bang Kapi area," said Griffiths. Happy Land IT Plaza is under construction and is expected to open on May 1. The three-storey building has 14,000 square metres of space on eight rai. The company has invested a further Bt200 million in a parking block for 200 cars. The centre has electronics and electronic products on the first floor, IT-related products including computers and mobile phones on the second, and fashion products, cosmetics and a spa on the third. Griffiths said 80 per cent of space was booked."We expect 50,000-60,000 clients a day," he said. - The Nation.
Correction Klinpaka Vongpanich, the marketing and sales manager at Allergan Thailand, was misquoted in an article published on April 10 as saying,"20 per cent of Botox clients have suffered spasms to one side of the face". He actually said: "About 20 per cent of Botox [procedures] have been used for therapeutic treatment [hemifacial spasms, cerebral palsy, dystonea, etc.]".
