Futsal set to kick off nation-wide

[FUTSAL] Tesco Lotus has caught football fever with the World Cup coming up and will host a nation-wide Futsal competition.
The Tesco Lotus Futsal Super Match 2006 is a nation-wide futsal competition with prize money of Bt1.068 million at stake. The aim is to encourage more people to exercise. Anyone can get a team together of five people and apply at any Tesco Lotus hypermarket or Value Store nation-wide from now until April 30. There are two concurrent competitions - one for the general public with no age limit and one for under-18s. The competition will be held over two rounds - a regional championship at eight Tesco Lotus stores around the country - Chiang Mai Hangdong and Lampang (north), Had Yai and Nakhon Si Thammrat (south), Khon Kaen and Ubon Ratchathani (north-east) and Lad Prao and Srinakharin (central). The eight winning teams from each venue earn Bt15,000 and a place in the National Championship, where they can win up to Bt100,000. Anybody wishing to play can get an application form from the Customer Service Point of any Tesco Lotus store (except Talad Lotus and Express) around the country from now until April 30.
