Northern hotel deal

Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts has signed a contract to manage a new 300-room Chiang Mai property as its second project in Thailand.
The group will manage the Pan Pacific Chiang Mai, a former condominium project. Its owner, V Group Property, has decided to turn it into a hotel and intends to open it in October.Arthur Ikeda, president of Pan Pacific Group, said the chain was a recognised brand here. The group is confident the property should enhance its portfolio of quality hotels. The hotel is located about 10 minutes from Chiang Mai International Airport, and should prove convenient for business and leisure travellers. It will also feature convention and meeting facilities.
