Sommai, Chanon march on
[FOOT VOLLEY] Thailand B's Sommai Kaewwon and Chanon Duangkaew were just brilliant as they defeated Holland B, Thailand E and Thailand D in the UBC World Foot Volley League yesterday.
Thailand B have set their sights on emerging second division winners and the triple victories have helped their cause."We tried our best since we want to top the group and become the champions in the second division," said Sommai. "We played rather badly in the game against Thailand E as we have trained together and know each other's tactics," said Chanon. Meanwhile, Thailand D comprising Supot Pengchan and Maekin Tiangpong lost two games in a row to Thailand B and Holland B in straight sets. After yesterday's matches, Thailand A, Thailand C, Spain and hot favourites Brazil marched onto the semi-final. Today, Thailand A will take on Brazil and Thailand C face Spain. The winners will earn a spot in the final which will be televised live on UBC Channel 36.
