Don't be angry: Chidchai

A group of 20 activists yesterday appealed to the government to prosecute anti-Thaksin campaigner Sondhi Limthongkul on a charge of lese majesty.
Activists from the Constitution Protection Association also had a row with reporters on the Government House beat, who openly displayed anti-Thaksin stickers distributed by the People's Alliance for Democracy. The argument began as the activists were waiting to meet with caretaker Deputy Prime Minister Chidchai Vanasatidya. Commenting on the bickering among the two parties, Chidchai said reporters should exercise restraint. "Don't be angry. Journalists are obliged to be tolerant," he said. He said the activists were represented part of the "silent majority", fed up with street protests. "The government is trying to encourage reconciliation and is leaving it up to police to decide on matter of law enforcement," he said, in relation to possible legal proceedings against Sondhi.
