Star Alliance gets two new airlines

Star Alliance, the global airline network, welcomed Swiss International Air Lines and South African Airways as the 17th and 18th members of the alliance.

With immediate effect, customers travelling on flights operated by Swiss International and South African Airways will benefit from all the advantages which the members of the alliance offer.

With Zurich now an alliance hub, Star Alliance offers flight connections through 11 European cities - Copenhagen, Frankfurt, London - Heathrow, Lisbon, Madrid, Manchester, Munich, Stockholm, Vienna, Warsaw and Zurich.

South Africa Airways adds new routes and destinations to the alliance. Its  network across Africa will allow customers access to 21 destinations on the African Continent.
