Vehicles to be charged for entering Malaysia

Vehicles from Singapore and Thailand will not be allowed free entry into the Malaysia any longer after the cabinet decided that a fee - probably about 20 Malaysian ringgit (Bt210) - be levied soon on these cars to offset some of the petrol subsidy that is lost to these vehicles. Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Shafie Apdal Shafie said the government was looking at how much the levy should be and whether it should differ according to type of vehicle.
