Snoh forgives Thaksin, says there was no ill feeling

Snoh Thienthong, once a chief adviser to Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and now one of his main detractors, used his birthday party yesterday to send a message to Thaksin that he should understand the good intentions behind his harsh criticism.

He said from his Sa Kaew base he had forgiven Thaksin for whatever occurred between them during their time together at the ruling party.

"You might have not understood me then, my brother, or I might have not understood you. But I always gave you 100 per cent and never harboured any ill feeling against you," he said.

"I always forgive you. No hard feelings, but I only want to see that everything is done right," said Snoh, who turned 72 yesterday.

Many current and former politicians and senior government officials visited Snoh's house near Watthana Nakhon intersection but there was no lavish Chinese buffet party for his supporters and canvassers as in previous years.
