The Thai Rak Thai Party has vowed to exempt all Thais from personal income taxes for the income they reap in 2006, ahead of the Sunday election, a promise that should favour the party, according to a high-ranking party source.



Publisher appeals ban

The publisher of a political magazine yesterday lodged a petition with the Interior Ministry over a ban on its current edition, saying officials had made an illegal order to confiscate the magazine from news stands.
