Latest Honda Accord to debut at Bitec show

Honda Automobile (Thailand), the country's second-largest maker and exporter of passenger cars, will unveil a new-look Honda Accord at the upcoming Bangkok Inter-national Motor Show, to be held from Friday to April 2 at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Bitec).

sure.

The company expects sales of the new Accord to be around 4,000 within one year after its launch at the Bangkok International Motor Show, according to Pitak Pruittisarikorn, general manager of business administration and marketing.

Prices are Bt1.24 million for the Accord 2.0E, Bt1.37 million for the Accord 2.4 E, Bt1.47 million for the Accord 2.4 EL and Bt1.6 million for the Accord 3.0 V6.

Total passenger-car sales for January-December 2005 were 188,210, with the mid-size sedan segment, in which the Honda Accord competes, accounting for almost 8.1 per cent, or approximately 15,000 units.

Three models dominate the mid-size sedan segment - the Accord (24 per cent), the Toyota Camry (35 per cent) and the Nissan Teana (24 per cent).
