Diesel to increase at least Bt0.30 per litre

The retail price for diesel will increase at least Bt0.30 per litre this week if the oil price in the Singapore market rises, said Bangchak Petroleum Plc's executive vice president Manu Siriwan.
He said that most oil refineries had started producing jet fuel instead of diesel due to a price discrepancy. That means the supply of diesel is lower than market demand, which means higher diesel prices. - The Nation.

Mitr ethanol plant Mitr Phol Sugar Group will start construction on its second ethanol plant worth Bt800 million in the second half of this year. Disney on IPTV Walt Disney plans to broadcast its two channels - Walt Disney and Playhouse Disney channels - through the IPTV channel after it launched the channels on another Thai cable network in February last year. Dusit cuts I'nesia ties Dusit Hotels & Resorts and PT Duta Pertiwi Tbk in Indonesia - parent company of Dusit Mangga Dua (Jakarta) and Dusit Balikpapan (East Kalimantan) - have agreed that the franchise agreement between Dusit and the Indonesian hotels will not be extended beyond March 31. Khampi Suwanarat, chief operating officer of Dusit Hotels & Resorts, said the relationship with Dusit Balikpapan since 1994 and with Dusit Mangga Dua since 1996 had been successful. Hermawan Wijaya, director of PT Duta Pertiwi Tbk, said effective April 1, the hotels would be renamed Le Grandeur Mangga Dua, Jakarta, and Le Grandeur Balikpapan.
