Ten suspects, including four women, in the brutal killing of two marines in Tanyonglimo village last September were released on bail yesterday.
More than 100 of their relatives gathered to greet them as they were released from the prison in Narathiwat.
The 10 suspects are: Koseng Awarekaji, Tuanparnee Tuankuseepoh, Beedoh Kalabo, Meenoh Mahama, Busoh Sai, Yaena Kaseng, Dohramae Haji-paseh, Kusa Loseng, Plee Kaniroo and Useng Sarehnu. They face charges over the murder of the two marines on September 20. The marines were stabbed to death after being held captive by local residents who believed the pair had taken part in a drive-by shooting the previous night in which two people were killed. So far, 34 suspects have been arrested over the marines’ murder. Two more suspects were arrested last week. They have been charged with robbery, illegal detention that led to deaths, illegal gathering, blocking traffic and causing public disturbances. The pair has denied all the charges. The Nation
