MFEC expects to reach Bt1.8 billion revenue this year after expanding to develop customised software for enterprises.

Adirake Patitus, chief executive officer of MFEC Plc, said the firm in 2006 will focus on system integration with servers and networking, particularly for the government market, and on maintenance services for servers and network equipment as well as professional services. The firm will divide its professional services into four areas including data management to help customers improve their business processes, and service-level management to lay down infrastructure, command centres and improve productivity. Third is Web applications, as the firm sells enterprise packages and customised applications. Fourth is mobile applications for phone games and other amusement for cell-phone users. The firm also sells mobile games to China.

Moreover, the company this year will focus on software development for enterprises in radio frequency identification (RFID), research and development, customised software as well as consulting. It has also received Board of Investment (BoI) support which will reduce the cost of investment and promote its business.

The company’s target markets are the telecommunications, government, banking and manufacturing industries. It now has 400 staff, of which 200 are engineers, to develop new innovations and enterprise applications for various industries. “The government market this year will be huge since they will spend much more to lay down or improve infrastructure for mega-projects,” said Adireke.

The company last year achieved revenue of Bt1.4 billion, coming 70 per cent from system integration, 15 per cent from maintenance services and the rest from professional services. The firm this year expects to reach revenue of Bt1.8 billion.
