[PARA GAMES] The Thai basketball team edged past hosts the Philippines 59-55 to win the gold medal at the Asean Para Games yesterday.
Apart from the men’s basketball event, Thailand’s disabled athletes added another 22 gold medals to their tally from track and field, swimming, judo, weightlifting, tennis, table tennis and goal ball to put the Kingdom ahead in the medal standings with a total of 101 gold, 48 silver and 23 bronze medals.
Malaysia and Vietnam were second and third with 48 and 41 gold medals respectively.
