NAP head joins school-transfer fight. New Aspiration Party leader and former education minister Chingchai Mongkoltham was yesterday named as an adviser to the movement against the transfer of state schools to local administrative organisations.
Thousands of teachers have been rallying for the complete scrapping of the transfer plan. “The transfer plan is not the right way to embrace decentralisation because it only allows politicians to enslave teachers while damaging the education of children,” said Narong Nathongkham, who chairs a teachers’ group in Roi Et. He was speaking as he and other teacher leaders led a major rally in Kalasin yesterday. – The Nation.
