Now we’re just good friends: Nat

Published on December 16, 2005

It’s now official. After months of rumours, singer Nat Myria (Benedetti) Kemklad has confirmed that she and her singer husband Somchai “Tao” Kemklad have separated. Despite the fact that the celebrity couple were once so universally envied.

During the recording of her TV programme “Ann-Nat Mai Jam Kad” on iTV channel at Moonstar studio, Nat said that they had split up because of a “third party”.

“The truth is the truth and I have nothing more to say. You should get any further information from Tao because he knows everything,” said Nat. “All I can say is there’s a third party, but I don’t know how it came about and you’ll have to ask him because he can give you more accurate details.”

Rumour has it that Somchai has been spotted with the girlfriend of the younger brother of actor Krikpon “Fluke” Masayavanich. But Somchai has remained tight-lipped about his problems with Nat, who he married two years ago in a wedding ceremony that was the talk of the town. He was recently attacked by a group of men in a hotel car park, shortly after giving a decidedly vague interview about his married life.

Nat said she still sees Somchai occasionally, but that they mostly speak on the phone these days.

“I guess our relationship has changed from husband and wife to just good friends,” Nat said.
