The Supreme Court’s rejection of Thai Petrochemical Industry (TPI) founder Prachai Leophairatana’s petition against the restructuring and share-sale plan earlier approved by the Central Bankruptcy Court (CBC) brought a sense of closure for creditors and made it possible for the on-again, off-again restructuring plan to move forward, finally. The TPI plan administrator will now proceed with the company’s debt restructuring and bring in strategic partners led by oil-and-gas conglomerate PTT Plc.
