AWESOME FOURSOME

Men’s relay team sprint to the gold. An awesome foursome of Thai men’s sprinters brought the home crowd to their feet in the Pattaya Indoor Athletics Stadium yesterday after a superb run in the 4x400m relay to win the gold, but Kazakhstan lead the medal standings. A total of 10 gold medals were on offer on the final day of the indoor athletics. India took the lion’s share of four medals, including three gold. Kazakhstan and Thailand both won two gold, but the visitors added three silver medals to Thailand’s one.

After a week of hard training and going nowhere but the soccer pitch in Kunming, China, SEA Games star Teeratep “Leesaw” Winothai finally managed to get a day off in the southern Chinese city. Along with his team-mates, Leesaw spent a day looking around the town and then did some shopping. He returned to his hotel with two imitation Louis Vuitton items for his mother and a couple of jackets for himself.
